Changing your mind

You may cancel an online book purchase without giving a reason. Tell us before the end of 14 days starting the day after you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, receive the books. Where one order is delivered in separate parcels, this period starts after the last item arrives. You can also cancel before delivery.

Email us with a clear cancellation statement. Including your order number helps us find your purchase, but using our form or obtaining our approval is not a condition of cancellation. Send the books back without undue delay and within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. You pay the direct return postage cost for a change of mind return. Pack the books securely and keep proof of posting. Please return website purchases to us, not to Amazon or a parcel locker.

Book condition

You may inspect books as you would in a shop. Please keep them clean and protect the covers and pages. We may make a proportionate deduction for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Writing, staining, torn pages or avoidable cover damage may reduce the refund. Opening packaging or reasonably inspecting a book does not by itself remove your cancellation rights. We do not charge a restocking or cancellation fee.

Refunds

For a full order cancellation, we refund the amount paid and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Any extra paid for an upgraded delivery service is not refundable under the change of mind cancellation rules. We refund without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving the returned books or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect books

Contact us if your order arrives damaged, is incorrect or does not match its description. Photos can help us resolve the issue but do not replace your statutory rights. We will arrange an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable return costs where the law requires. The change of mind time limits and condition deductions do not limit your rights for faulty goods. Discounted books have the same statutory rights as full price books.
